Large mosaic with integrated ironwork 3x1 metres/Grande Mosaïque avec ferronnerie intégrée
Sometimes we are asked to be involved in interesting projects, like the one above.The brief was to outline the flowers in this large mosaic, in steel . We used 8mm steel bar and, with the aid of plastic templates, formed the outline of the flowers to fit the project exactly . The formed steel was then burnished and attached to the board with carefully hand made small steel brackets, allowing the artist, Annie Worthington, to complete the project.

Parfois on nous demande d'aider dans les projets intéressants, comme celui ci-dessus.Notre partie était de former le contour des fleurs dans cette grande mosaîque, en acier. Nous avons utilisé 8mm rond d'acier et, à l'aide des gabarits en plastique, avons formé le contour des fleurs pour adapter le projet exactement. L'acier formé était alors polis et a attaché au tableau avec de petites accroches, faites soigneusement manuelles d'acier permettant l'artiste,Annie Worthington de compléter le projet.

This was an interesting project. We were asked to make a door to fit the uneven mouth of a cave.
It had to be in keeping with it's surroundings and secure.
